This house began as a Cape Cod built in 1954. Radically altered, it is contextual and thoroughly modern.

The design features an open floor plan, varied ceiling heights and 40 windows that provide a quality of light rarely seen on Staten Island. The design incorporates historical references to the original Cape Cod house type, theories of Organic Architecture and interior wood trim detailing influenced by Japanese and American design.

The high tech heating system features a combination of radiant floor heat and radiant baseboard. Air conditioning is supplied by an efficient high velocity system.
